appearance summary * Standing at about 4'5", Arthur is much shorter than the rest of his classmates, which annoys the little Englishman very much. He is a bit scrawny, but he considers it to be healthy for his age. An untamed golden mop is what he calls hair. His unruly bangs only slightly cover his rather bushy eyebrows, that are one of his most distinguishable features. His eyebrows resemble little, busy caterpillars that seemed to have parked it on his face. However, Arthur likes to pretend that his eyebrows are just like everyone else's and if anyone disagrees, they will have to deal with his unruly temper. He has fair skin that tends to burn easily, which results in him being red as a tomato.
Besides his eyebrows, Arthur's hair is also rather distinguishable. He may wear gentleman-like apparel, but his hair gives off a bit of a delinquent feel, which goes right along with his temper and the scowl he wears. Often, the ends tend to stick up in random, different directions, no matter how many times he tries to brush it. Yet, the color itself is unique, for it's more of like a golden hay color, a bit like the color of dead grass during autumn.

strengths *
+Intelligence. Arthur has spent much time educating himself to do better than his classmates.
+Gentleman-like. Even though he is a bit young, Arthur is quite the little gentleman. One can find him holding doors open or pulling out chairs, just generally doing little things people wouldn't expect from a lad such as himself. Chivalry isn't entirely dead.
+Zealous. Arthur does not give up on things easily. He has the tendency to strive to achieve a goal even if it kills him.
weaknesses *
-Cynical. Often times, Arthur doubts others sincerity. He does not particularly like society and only sees it as people wanting things only for themselves.
-Snarky. He doesn't mean to be snarky, but quite honestly, Arthur is just a bit critical of others. He makes sarcastic or witty remarks to those he feels who deserve it. Well, someone has to point out their idiocy.
-Stubborn. Arthur likes things done his way and his way only. He refuses to listen to others that may critique his ideas or anything things that involve him. In his mind, no one is allowed to judge him but himself. It may seem like his stubbornness, may be positive, however, it often leads him into many arguments and fights.
fatal flaw * ~Self Confidence. Arthur has no self confidence whatsoever. He's always nit-picking himself, constantly finding things that are wrong with him. One day, it may be his hair. Another day, it could be his eyebrows. Arthur just really doesn't like himself.
Sarcastic . Loyal . Witty . Courteous . Refined . Melancholic
personality summary *
Arthur can be described as a complicated young man. One minute he could be sipping his tea quietly, minding his own business, but then he could be yelling and screaming till he's red in the face. Quite honestly, if he truly doesn't care for someone, then that someone will face the wrath of Arthur Kirkland's temper. Although, he generally shows his temper to just about everyone he meets, to try and keep them away. Whatever he says to someone on the receiving end of his brutal temper, often hurts far worse than he intends it to be. He does not trust anyone but himself, so putting up a wall between him and everyone else is quite necessary for him. Now this wall becomes fortified with all of the negative traits Arthur has.
Yet, Arthur considers himself to a gentleman, which is actually the truth. His gentleman demeanor just gets buried beneath all the cynical and sarcastic comments he makes. Along with being a little gentleman, his manners are impeccable. Of course, anyone who doesn't have manners as good as him typically hear an earful of correct manners from the boy. In his mind, forcing manners and correct behavior upon people is the only way to fix society these days.
When receiving compliments, or if anyone is generally nice to him, Arthur lashes out at them. Indeed, one may say he does not know how to take a compliment, which is completely true. Arthur does not know how to react to people being kind to him; this is probably due to his poor social skills and the wall he put up around himself.
This boy longs for romance, despite any comments he may make. But, he prefers to keep this side of him locked up. He spent much time reading romance novels and has always been fascinated by the story of Romeo and Juliet. It was reading stories like that, that made a romantic side sort up, "pop up". Although, he will never allow anyone to see such a side of him, yet, his gentleman-like chivalrous conduct seems to tell otherwise.
Arthur has the particular habit of holding grudges. He does not forget those that have bullied him for the way he looks or his fairy friends. It's quite possible to say that this is where his rather harsh temper and his overall nasty attitude came from. Quite honestly, he would be the first to blame them if someone were to ever get the courage to call him out on his attitude.
Unfortunately, Arthur cane act a bit like know-it-all sometimes, well, most of the times, actually. When someone says something wrong, he is the one to instantly correct them and maybe even throw in a "Told you so", because that's the kind of mindset he has. If the situation allows, Arthur may just throw in at least ten reasons why the person is wrong, along with ten reasons why they'll always be wrong. Quite frankly, he just likes to take pride in that he's right and the other person is wrong; it gives him a sense of accomplishment. Indeed, it's completely childish of him, but you'll never hear him admit that. He'd rather have to eat American food then admit he's wrong.

history summary *
Arthur Kirkland was born into a rather poor family as the second youngest son. Now, being the second youngest put him into the position of being the middle child. Arthur did not really enjoy being the middle child, for he always got picked on by his older brothers and received their hand-me-downs as well. Before he started to attend school, he'd go out into the forests near his home and play with the fairies and other magical creatures that were dwelling in the shadowy place. Arthur thought of them as his friends, and spoke of them highly at dinner table discussions. His parents thought it was rather cute that their son talked of magically creatures; he was just a child so it could of been one of his phases. His brothers however, laughed and mocked him. But, Arthur was very young so he couldn't quite understand what was so funny about his fairy friends. So, he figured that his brothers once saw the fairies too and knew them as well.
At the age of six, Arthur began to attend school. He loved every aspect of it in the beginning. He loved to learn and he loved the fact that he could make more friends there. The other children, however, just didn't love him. Even at such a young age, they ridiculed him for his messy hair, his clothes, and his eyebrows. Poor Arthur just wanted more friends that he and his fairy friends could play with.
As the years went on, he tried everything to fix himself. At one stage, Arthur grew out his hair and wouldn't let anyone touch it. In his mind, it was a new hairstyle and it covered his eyebrows, so, those two problems were fixed. He had also gotten new clothes for Christmas and his birthday, which meant he didn't have to wear the ratty old clothes that were at one time, new to one of his brothers. Some of his peers began to talk to him, just trying to strike up a friendly conversation. Arthur always talked of his fairy friends, which caused these friendly students to back off, with the idea of Arthur being crazy. His mother had cut his hair, when he was sleeping, thus, an eight year old Arthur woke up to a panic realizing his long hair was gone.
By the age of ten, Arthur had distanced himself from the world. He followed a simple routine in his daily life, which was: wake up, get beat by his brothers, go to school, study, get into a fight with his classmates, then to the woods to talk to the creatures that lived there, go home, get beat up by his brothers, argue with his father, and lastly, go to sleep. That was ten year old Arthur Kirkland's life; he knew nothing else but that life. Of course, there were things in between those events, but he never deemed them as important. Arthur actually spent a great deal of his time studying. He read every book he could get his hands on. His gentleman demeanor developed at this time as well; he figured it was the only way to get respect, along with just having good manners.
Arthur's tenth birthday was unfortunately on a school day, which allowed the bullies to use the excuse of, "birthday punches", even in class. Midday, during English class, Arthur just couldn't take it anymore, which caused him to flee to the bathroom to try and calm his nerves. However, he didn't realize he had created a duplicate of himself when he was focusing on calming down. He left the bathroom with a naked copy of himself in the bathroom stall. Arthur's day at school continued to be normal until the principal of his school almost broke down the door of his classroom during his last class of the day. His principal immediately accused him of running around naked and playing pranks on teachers and student right on the spot.
Arthur found the accusation to be hilarious, but since he believed to be a gentleman, he tried to hide his laughter. He didn't hide his giggles good enough, for the principal grabbed the collar of Arthur's shirt and dragged him into the principal's office. Arthur was given five days of suspension and a few days of detention for the disruptions he apparently caused. Arthur was furious at the fact he received reprimanding and consequences for something he didn't do.
While walking back to his classroom, he ran into his doppelganger that allegedly caused the disruption. Like anyone who would have been in this situation, Arthur instantly panicked. In his panicked state, the duplicate managed to tackle Arthur to the floor and started to take his clothes off. It was a bit obvious this doppelganger definitely had the intention of walking around as the "real" Arthur, but the original Arthur was much too frightened to do anything about it. Miraculously, the duplicate returned to Arthur, whose clothes were pulled off of him. Unsure and thankful, he was relieved to have gotten rid of the culprit. At this time, the boy realized that he had something unique about him; something that differentiated him from everyone else and it wasn't his hair or eyebrows. He wasn't sure what it was, or how he got it, but Arthur was very pleased with his new ability.
With his new-found "power", so to speak, Arthur began to use it frequently to his advantage. Yes, most of the times he used it, it was completely out of revenge for all the times his brothers or his peers picked on him. However, he didn't use it for just revenge; Arthur managed to get his doppelganger, which soon became doppelgangers, to help him with household chores and such. Arthur also saw them as friends, even; people to talk to. They were all different, not like him, so it made it less awkward to be friends with his duplicates.
On a hot summer day, Arthur received a letter from a school in Japan called, Alice Academy. Apparently the school was for people like him, but he really displayed no interest in the school. However, it was Arthur's mother that pressured him to attend the school. Still, Arthur wasn't thrilled by the idea, but the fact that he'd be leaving everyone he disliked is what finally made him agree to it. So, he wrote back to the principal saying how happy he would be to attend the school and such. Of course, Arthur had his trusty thesaurus sitting right next to him so he could sound as smart as he could be; there's no messing around with Arthur Kirkland.
So now, he awaits to start the school year in Japan and prays that he won't have to deal with any idiots.

[/size]name of alice * Doppelganger
what does it do? *
This particular Alice allows Arthur to create copies of himself. However, each copy he makes has a distinct personality that is not similar to his own. These copies tend to run around rampant, often times not to Arthur's knowledge. When these copies return to Arthur, he has no recollection of where they went or what they have done. Also, it should be noted that Arthur cannot duplicate the clothes he's wearing, thus, his copies have the tendency to run around naked, unless they find clothes of course. So really, a bunch of naked Arthurs run around causing some sort of trouble and return to the original Arthur, without him knowing what happened.
how well can they control it? *
Arthur didn't exactly know how to control his Alice at first. Really, when he saw a naked duplicate of himself he would freak out. As time went on, however, Arthur used his Alice more and more, which caused him to learn to control it. Since he's a bit young, Arthur is not perfect at controlling it, but he does always seem to use a doppelganger to his advantage in situations that require him to use his Alice.

Small feet took off like a rocket heading far away from the school building. The laughter from the group of boys caused Arthur's ears to ring, which caused him to lose focus on getting away from his peers. Silver salty tears ran down his rosy cheeks as the boys shouted names like, "Bushy brows", "Filthy rat" and "Mop head". Arthur knew it wasn't entirely his fault that he looked the way he looked, but it certainly did not give those other kids any right to pick on him for it. Rage filled the boy's heart as he thought of getting revenge. Yes, Arthur Kirkland would definitely have his revenge.
His shoeless feet skidded in the dirt as he came to a halt. He turned to face the other boys, as his green narrowed, and his eyebrows arched, forming a scowl on his face.
The tears stopped as Arthur put his hands behind his back and puffed out his chest. Of course, the hooligans believed it was Arthur just being, well, Arthur, so they pointed and laughed. One of Arthur's fairy friends placed a few rocks into his hands. The rocks themselves were big enough to cause bumps and bruises; just enough to teach a lesson to the others. Arthur softly whispered, "Thank you", to the fairy. The group of boys stopped laughing and cocked their heads. The Irish boy boldly spoke up, "Wot? Ar' ya talkin' to yerself now Kirklan'? Gentleman such as yerself shouldn' do such things".
A cocky smile formed on Arthur's face, "Ah, yes. You are completely correct. I should not talk to myself." Little did they know, another Arthur was right behind them. The doppelganger behind them appeared to be more of delinquent then the real Arthur himself. The doppelganger was holding a large pointy stick and a few stones, while wearing a large grin on his face. Also, unfortunately, he was naked... but Arthur has been trying to work on that.
The original Arthur nodded to the doppelganger and simply said, "To quote one of my favorite characters, Sherlock Holmes... 'The game is afoot'!" At that very second, the group of boys were pelted with stones. The delinquent Arthur started to beat the Irish boy with the stick. Others scurried away, leaving the two Arthurs to deal with the Irish one. They all knew they definitely saw two Arthurs, but they figured it was from all the stones being thrown at their heads.
The doppelganger pinned down the boy as the original knelt down beside them. Arthur smirked at the boy, who was now filthy from all the dirt, "I believe I won this time". The doppelganger returned to Arthur, who's eyes were still fixed on the Irish lad. He got up and held out his hand, "I suggest you get up so you won't be covered in dirt, wanker". The boy managed to pick himself up without Arthur's help and went off to wherever his cohorts went off to.
Arthur fixed his tattered clothes and brushed off the dust and dirt. He began to walk home, feeling quite successful. Then he remembered that he would have to deal with his father and brothers when he arrived home. Somehow, he and his father would start arguing and then he'd get into a fist fight with one of his brothers. Yes, that was the wonderful Kirkland household, that Arthur just loved.
"Bloody hell."
