strengths *
Warm Hearted ; Generous, forgiving. Katya is a very kind, warm hearted person. She may be a bit... off, socially awkward but, she'll try to accept everyone with open arms. She's gentle and forgiving, to an extent.
Empathetic ; It comes with her Alice but, Katya has always been a very empathetic person. It's very easy for her to pick up on others emotions, and, then figure out how to help them.[/ul]
weaknesses *
Overly Emotional ; Panicky, cry baby, call her what you please. Katya gets worked up over many things. Tears are a common occurrence for this woman and, try what she my, she just can't stop them.
Overly Caring ; She'd starve herself, if it would help others. She goes out of her way to help her friends, her siblings, those that need help. Of course, this isn't a good thing all the time, it clouds her trust. She sees the good in everyone, even when there's nothing left to see.[/ul]
fatal flaw *
kind . loyal . gentle . emotional . motherly . protective
personality summary *
It pained her to have to leave her younger siblings, when she received a letter for a school for children with “special” abilities years ago but, she had to go. There was a chance of her hurting her siblings, if she hadn't- So she left. And it nearly killed her to have to.
Even now, it's painful for Katya to be away from her siblings, because, they must be lonely, not to mention, she doesn't know if they're being fed properly. Are they taking care of themselves? Are they sleeping? They're all on their own and, while they may be at special schools, (just like Katya is), she can't help but mother them. They're her siblings, they were all she had, has, she has to make sure they're alright.
Perhaps she's too loyal, she'll stick with her siblings, her friends, through thick and thin, even when it leaves herself starving. It's for the best, it'll keep her brother healthy, her sister healthy, it's for her siblings, it's for her siblings, it'll be alright in the end. She'd suffer the world for her siblings, because well, they are the world to Katya.
Accepting, Katya is a very warmhearted person. She's a pleasure to be around, usually, and she'll go out of her way to make sure everyone around her is comfortable and taken care of before tending to herself. She's strong, both physically and mentally, and has marched on throughout all the hardships in her life, though, sometimes perhaps it was only because she knew her siblings needed her. She's a diligent worker though, a hard one, and when she has free time, she tries to help out the gardener. She likes working in dirt, and really, really hates standing still.
In truth though, as strong as she tries to be, she's very dependent on her siblings or, at least on knowing they're alright. She's rather awkward, socially, never really having dealt with people, other then her mother, and her little siblings. To add onto this, she's emotional and, while she may be strong physically and a bit mentally, emotionally, she's a cry baby.
The tears come and go as they please, there's no stopping them. Little things can set them off, receiving word from her siblings, being given a gift, failing a class, passing a class...
It's all apart of her ability, sadly. And, she's trying to get it fixed but, it's so hard-
But she's trying. That has to count for something, right?[/ul]

history summary *
When she was twelve, though, she found herself breaking her number one rule.
Around her twelfth birthday, the young girl received a visitor from a school in Ukraine. The school was apparently for children with gifts, gifts like Yekaterina's, and they were offering her an enrollment spot in the school, free of charge. It was an opportunity Yekaterina couldn't pass up, and, even though it killed her to leave her siblings, she had to. She left in October for the new school, and, when she did, she took on her father's last name, (even if she never knew him, at least her mother knew his last name), to “fit in more”. She was at the school for two long years before she received a transfer letter- and word that her own siblings would be going to this “head Alice” school in Japan.
Well, how could she refuse an offer to be around her siblings?
She wrote back as soon as she could, telling the principal she would love to go to his school, and left for Japan immediately. She's really excited to see her siblings again, not to mention to be in a new country. This should be fun, right?
Right?[/ul]

roleplay example *
Katya nodded to her younger sister, carefully shrugging her jacket on over-top her blouse as Mister Ian walked on ahead. ”I am coming, Natalya. You may go on ahead, if you want.” Smiling to the younger blonde, the Ukrainian woman gave herself one quick look over, checking her pockets to make sure nothing was missing. She wasn't sure what all she had on her person, or what exactly she needed to keep on herself but, she did want to be extra careful. It would be terrible if she left something here, just absolutely terrible! ....Especially since she couldn't remember what exactly she needed to make sure she kept, besides her book. What if tomorrow she got home, remember everything, and then realized she left something special in the ballroom?!
She just- oohh, she was tearing up just thinking about it. Taking a deep, calming breath, the blonde haired woman flashed her younger sister another smile and moved to follow behind her. She was sure, not completely sure, mind you, that she had everything she needed now. All they really had to do was go home. Home, where she could curl up and go to sleep. Well, after calling Ivan, of course. She didn't think she could sleep soundly not knowing if her little brother was alright or not.
Holding the door open for Natalya, Katya tilted her head as she glanced outside. There was a light snow, which she supposed was normal, at this time of the year. After letting her little sister step outside first, the woman stepped outside behind her, tugging her jacket closer to her body as she eyed the streets. Mister Ian was already waiting at a cute little blue car, so, with another smile, Katya quickened her pace to reach him.
Soon they would be home, which would be very nice, and out of this dreadful cold-
“Natasha, you know Big Sister loves you very much, yes?”
She had promised to take care of them. To do whatever it meant to keep them safe, even if it meant having to disband their little family. She would of loved to keep them all together, to stay a family but, that would have been selfish. The mongol was a cruel man, her little ones, her little siblings were not safe anywhere near him.
Unfortunately, though, she would not be able to get Ivan away from him. The mongol's grip on her little brother was too strong, there would be no saving Vanya from him.
But, Natalya, Natasha, her innocent little sister... She had a chance. The mongols may have sacked Kiev, destroyed their home but, Natasha was still mostly free. So, she had a chance, a chance she had to take.
The little girl in front of her, her little Natasha, gave a wary nod, blinking at her elder sister. “Of course-”
She hushed her before she could continue. “Good, then please, listen to your big sister.” Grasping the little girl's shoulders, she frowned at the young child. Not young in actual age, (because they were all far too old), but at least in looks. They were both young but, she was the eldest. She had to keep them safe, as safe as she could. “I want you to leave this place, do you understand? Run as far as you can, please, for your Big Sister.”
Her gaze did not falter from Natasha, not until the little girl nodded. “But, Sister, I do not want to be alone-” Silencing her in a hug, she shook her head, tears brimming her eyes. “You will not be alone. Vanya and I will find you tomorrow, I promise.”
It was a lie, of course, because the mongol man had a tight grip on her, much like he did Vanya.
Lying to her little sister hurt worse then making her leave, though.
It truly did.
.......Y-yes... Being home would be good.
(She hoped she would not have any more dreams- day dreams- She hoped that things like that would not happen anymore, after a good night's sleep. She did not know if she could handle anymore of those.)
